The difference in opinions between this and the Cronos thread are...vast (to say the least).
SHf - apparently - it's either "the worst piece of overhyped shit" or " I really get it, it's brilliant", no real in-between compared to the Cronos thread where most people agree that it's a simple, yet great title, very divisive so far...
What really got my attention though gents is that many mention "finished my 1st playthrough, ain't gonna bother with the rest" - not a good sign for a game that REQUIRES multiple playthroughs a'la Nier Automata.
I'm at the 1st sanctuary (so barely 2 hours in) and I'm liking it so far but these (mostly negative) impressions aren't filling me with confidence - and this is a 80€ retail price game.
So far, the lack of auto-translation of the in-game texts (billboards/banners etc) is annoying and the camera is also kind of bad since no matter how I adjust it, it's either too slow or too fast and in conjunction with a lack of center screen dot leads to some nausea for me...
As for the combat...I don't get it yet since there's 2-3 systems tied to it, the hit stop hasn't brothered me so far though.
Also : the jarring 30fps to 60fps transition from cutscenes to gameplay that I mentioned in a previous post led me to do the unthinkable : I turned motion interpolation on on my LG C2

and things are better - there's no artifacting due to the game being 60fps during gameplay, only the cutscenes interpolate to 60fps (yeah. yeah, soap opera effect and all that) and the transitions are smoother this way,
you have to turn off VRR, 120HZ and also put the TV to anything besides "game mode" though which is annoying.
Anyway, hope I get my money's worth out of this 'cause, yeah...
