What am I supposed to give the slime creature under the gate that sometimes shows up in the shop?
If you hold F on the keyboard you can drop your gun, and I think from the map menu you can drop passive items. He gives you money for dropping stuff.

I have seen that happen exactly once in maybe 20 runs.

I love how the powerful guns send enemies flying. It's so satisfyingThe dog seems to be pretty random, sometimes he won't find anything, sometimes he finds stuff every couple rooms.
Found a Disintegrator gun, pretty awesome, if you can keep it concentrated on a boss he goes down quickly.
I really like the regular shotgun, seems pretty powerful and am having Doom flashbacks using it heh.
I had no idea you could drop guns and passives to sell them at the shop!
Btw, what does the green currency thing you pick up after beating a boss actually do? Is it used to build up the Breach?

After you rescue a certain NPC, they open up a shop in the Breach where you buy new items to add to the loot pool for chests and shopkeepersI had no idea you could drop guns and passives to sell them at the shop!

Bingo.
I liked the premise of BoI, but hated the gameplay and the overal tone of the game, EtG is indeed what you said.
I think the best comparison between this and Isaac is the feedback. I enjoy Isaac, but the satisfication in that is seeing how crazy you can evolve your basic attack. But the attacks never feels satisfying, never feel like they have heft and weight; the enjoyment comes from the look of the stacked power-ups and how fast you can clear a room.
But here? Everything reacts. The satisfying screen shake and recoil. Dead enemies flying across the room. Smoke from bullet impacts against the wall. Book pages fluttering across the room. Shattered pottery, broken crates and tables, and other debris piling up, getting thrown around by explosions.
Sort Off topic: I love how appearently it's normal around here not to really like BoI. In Steam saying anything bad about the game seems to be a crime.
I consider Isaac to be a really casual shmup roguelite. The game is so so luck based actually developing skills is secondary. The main focus of the fun is ending up with a really OP run 7/10 times. Unlike Nuclear Throne and (what it seems so far) Enter the Gungeon that you rely mostly on skill and less on RNG. (Although there seems to be some OP out of place weapons on EtG.
lol at a scroll that increases your attack speed when you flip tables![]()
Where do bullet gramps and the black-haired woman hang out after you free them? I feel like I missed like an entire room in the base
Cheers! Some people you rescue can be randomly found in shops selling their own stock. Sometimes they have their own rooms.
I got one that activates free blanks every time you flip a table, it was pretty nuts. Wish I had some of the blank powerups that run to synergize it with.

Sweet. I bought it and it's been a blast so far. I wish the local co-op let you choose another gungeoneer though. The difficulty level is similar, or this is probably harder.
The combat feels really different though, but I think that if you dig HM, you might like this one as well.
I'm not even sure a comparison between them is fair, while they are pretty similar, in premise, they are actually very different games, with hugely different themes.
I'm not ragging on BoI, I just didn't get it, at all.
Did you play BoI: Rebirth? They certainly play differently and don't share any of the same atmosphere, but they are heavily similar in a lot of the design and overall game structure. It would be practically ignorant to say there's not some valid comparisons to be made there. I'm not saying that's good or bad at all, but there's interesting discussion to be had.
Personally I really enjoyed Rebirth but totally understand the valid complaints and criticism it gets levied against it. That's why this game having a new take on that same Zelda dungeon - rogue-like architecture is so exciting imo.
why does this game seem to never want to give me any keys?
like wtf 2 chests on every floor, 0 key drops ok I'll buy one from the shop.. no keys for sale..
once I got a passive item that gave me a higher chance of getting keys upon clearing a room... went through two and a half floors with that item and still no key drops
come the fuck on
Ok so I just unlockedbut Im not exactly sure what they do.a lady and a giant robot who opened a shop in my overworld area
It says I canbuy things to add to my museum?
Can someone explain this to me?
Basically you use credits dropped from bosses to buy shit to find in the dungeon.

ohhh so you cant even find that stuff until you buy it from them?
This Steam post illustrates very well what is wrong with the early game

I read on the first page the there were some concerns about performance on PS4 because it was a Unity game.
I don't feel like reading 10 pages to see if anyone tested this, so how does this run on PS4?
