Just watched the demo, gameplay looks alright but I don't moonspeak so I didn't know what was going on with the attack moves and spells etc.

Clearing up a few things though:
- Only one character was being controlled in the demo? otherwise it sure looked like a mess.
- You'll be able to control a whole party later on right?

I really like the futuristic level and monster design. Lightning and Snow looked decent but the other party members looked stupid to be honest.. what's up with the whore waving her ass around during battle? I sure hope we won't be seeing more of them after this part of the game.

You can control the other party members in the full game. In the demo, they're auto.

Yeah figured as much, still though, fantastic art direction.
Yeah, it's absolutely stunning. Can't wait for the demo so I can see it uncompressed in HD. It's going to be glorious.

Despite the Versus trailer not being voiced, you could still notice Stella and Noctis their chemistry. It looks like this conversation has so many meanings of what is yet to happen. Like when Stella asks about wether Noctis uses the power he has, it sounded like she's craving for having it and wanting to use it for her own reasons. While he was just like 'Nah, I don't need it' Although he is a prince and all, I'm still surprised how formal she was with him, how will his friends treat him then? I wonder if she will simply receive those powers (we see her using against Noctis) by truly just able to see the light during that night thanks to Noctis, or was that not meant seriously? It's really exciting to find out why they will be facing each other later when they seemed so polite here.

And what was up with her putting the fucking rifle on her shoulder all the time like a sword? And flamehead doing that low beast crouch for no reason? Even Sazh's stupid little dance and weird high kick then aim without looking down the sights was stupid. I mean come on Square.

Quick Q? does the AC movie have english subs? Will it play on my 20gb(320really) ps3? and the demo?

The AC movie does not have English subs, but it does have English dubs (better not have Japanese subs when initiating that).

Yes, it will play on your 20 gig PS3 and so will the demo. As long as you are region A.

Assuming it's ever released. I can understood ps3 games taking forever to make, but psp? Isn't that thing just a portable ps2?

Its a big project. You know, like that certain DS game also by S-E.

Getting this in the mail Friday. The videos have me pumped! Battle system being more X than XII has me really happy.

The wait is going to be brutal...

They said it's the scale of a regular FF game. Not surprising it takes a similar amount of time to make. Not to mention it's changed platforms, a major development restart.

It could be the best selling of the three in Japan.

Damn, that's pretty. Just watched someone play through the demo. Damn, that's pretty.

Doesn't look progressive in any other way, not that I expect FF to be.

Like the heroine! Please tell me that's not a dude. The black guy with the bird in his afro...why is he dancing to a funk groove in the background during battle animations when he's not getting knocked around? Gotta love the Japanese.
Because whenever we arent doing anything we automatically default into busting sweet dance moves.

Watched the trailer over at IGN. The whole no voice thing was ...odd and I can't say I'm sold on the game yet...
Certainly don't get why people are so excited over this ....I'm personally more excited for FFXIII

The demo is region locked? It better fucking not be.

I had read earlier that it was (cannot remember where) but then that doesn't make any sense the more I think about it because I know people from EU is buying it. EU is not Region A, from my understanding.

So just disregard the region A until we find out more.

:lol

As far as i know every Japanese Blu-ray movie & game is region A. The import websites list region a.

Someone may have said nothing is printed on the back tho.

So the film is region locked? Disappointing.

if people can watch other Region A Blu-rays on their machines, then they should have no problems with this one. it's pretty standard.

For me, it's the modern fantasy setting and dark style. It's different than most RPGs, and I think that's part of the main reason it appeals to me so much.

Yeah, that's it for me too. I've been waiting for someone to try a modern day JRPG for years, also, in recent years I've become more a fan of the Action-RPG way of doing these games, which Versus is doing.

To me, Versus seems like it's being aimed directly at me, and people in my position, the western gamer who played 7&8, but has grown accustom to the more action orientated games over the passed few years, and has become more interested architecture and fashion and just generally things more grounded in reality.

And it's beautiful.

I can see why people would see it as pretentious, it's very moody looking, extravagant, decadent. I'm not sure it's going to be amazing, but I think it has the most potential to be something really special of all the games announced (Metronome excluded maybe).

Agito looks great. I love the look of the main character now.

And regarding the control of party members, my take was that the video was supposed to be showing what co-op online play might be like. Otherwise, it would be like Goofy and Donald in KH?

I agree that the modern day setting is pretty rad ...though we got that with Persona3/4. So that leaves Nomuras footprint which I'm either okay with (TWEWY) or I just can't stand (FFX/FFX2)...
We'll see I guess...Main dude's hair is outta control though as is the jPOP cast :lol

Yes please, confirm information about the Japanese import through an information database on the domestic release that isn't due out for at least a month.

my mistake, this is from Play-Asia for the import:

Region Coding: Blu-ray Movie Region A (Japan, USA, Asia); Trial Game: region free

would you rather the characters looked like this:

sorry I will remove the eyesore...although we must all be forgiving of all gods creatures

Even my family frequently commented on how ridiculously ugly the oblivion characters looked

Any Translation yet?

I like to know if this is the start of the game I know its close to the start but from what i see i cant help to think somthing happen befor the demo

I wouldn't call that a confirmation. Many BD's display a region but are still region free.

This is a better source: http://bluray.liesinc.net/ (but I'm sure some Euro people will chime in before it hits the site)

Actually, Blu-ray.com does do region checking for various releases, though I can't confirm if they did it in particular for FF7ACC.
