Why do people keep saying stuff like this?

It's a godsend on some bosses (including raid ones) because it has a high impact and you don't have to reload during damage phases.

Sure you have to find ammo or use a synth, but no other sniper will output as much damage in the same time frame

Level 290 is fine, we were all in our early to mid 290s and we got it done with more than a minute left.
... After 4 hours of failing hard on it. ^^
