Yep, I just think the people complaining have no clue about urban culture. They say this sounds forced, but if you go to the ghetto you will hear this on the street. You will hear it everywhere in the ghetto. I mean just listen to rap music and you will hear it there as well. Even last night while I was at the midnight release I was in a more run down part of town and people in line talked like this. It isn't forced, it is how it really is.

It's possible to write gangster characters that curse a lot without using cursing as a crutch for the writing. It's not really that there's too much cursing, it's how the cursing is used.

I wasn't being sarcastic. You hit start and then the map loads. Then you have to hit x in order to actually scroll the map. I use the map a lot so it just seems like a waste of time as opposed to just hitting start and being able to zoom in right away.

Definitely, I would even say some of the language in the game is tame comparatively.

Those gangster dialogues are grating, but realistic. It's not poor writing, it's exactly how it is in real life, at least to my experiences. I did like San Andreas' way of doing those better, or at least funnier, but I don't think the Franklin mission dialogues so far to have poor writing.

As far as your car appearing in an impound lot; Any cars you mod at Los santos customs will become "yours". If destroyed it will be towed to the impound lot in Downton Los Santos, I believe.

You have to purchase the parachute from ammu-nation after its unlocked in the story.

Lol yah I think it must unlock later in the game. Don't jump out of a plane unless you know you have a parachute...or if you just want to see your boy splat.

Is there a way to switch shoulders when aiming? Also, you still have to hold x to run while aiming, which sucks.
Oh, and the framerate is pretty horrendous when speeding through the city.

I'm wondering about this as well.
I haven't played it yet but they did hire real gangsters and the writers have written gang stuff before.
I am pretty sure they know better than people on GAF, but like I said I haven't played it yet so they could be right.

I have only played a few hours on 360 but this easily trumps Red Dead Redemption as my favorite Rockstar game. Also to those complaining about image quality I have no idea what game you are playing. The game is running on ancient hardware and considering how old the hardware is this game is a revelation in terms of IQ.

I also have no doubt based on the commericals there is at least a next gen version and/or PC version coming as it looked and ran even better.

Needless to say its going to be hard to call my GOTY. Bioshock Infinite and The Last Of Us are amazing games but GTA V might be king.

I haven't used them yet, but aren't they same as in previous GTAs? A car get saved in there until you take it out. It's not like in SR where it saves every single car ever put in and you can choose whichever you want whenever.

I just noticed you can press right on the dpad and talk to people like in red dead. It's pretty funny if you keep doing it some people will get shitty and try and fight you.
