Anyone here using this Narwhal ship? I haven't gotten it yet but the sheer stats look like it's the best one to get, if you have can pilot a C class ship.

I have been rolling with the Shieldbreaker for a while and I love the design and internals of it, I got the C grade Abyss Trekker before but rolled the save back cause I hated it.
It takes a solid minute+ to run from the cockpit to the nearest bed to get the 10, 15% exp bonus, it's that freaking big on the inside.
If this one is also as huge, I'll probably stick to the Shieldbreaker. I've already modded it with enough particle weapons and a brand new shield that combat is not an issue (at this point).

I'm going to strike it rich when I get home. Was on a killing spree all morning. I had to turn it off to go to work, but I think my encumbrance was at like 815/225 lol. I'll have a lot to sell.
I got this amazing pack that reduces encumbered O2 use by 75%. Really makes it less of an issue being overloaded, so now I just pick up literally everything.

Yeah the encumberment issue really was only a problem in the early game, those days are long behind me.

Dude.....you ain't kidding. Ryujin is such a slog. Started out with some fetch quests and then finally moved to some stealth missions which is absurd unless you are playing a stealth build, which I'm not. I'm too far in now to quit, but I probably should have skipped this one.

I’m just happy that “romance” options are clearly marked. In BG3 it’s impossible to befriend character as every dialogue option is basically “let’s fuck”.

The friendship options make the most sense IMO. Romance in Starfield seems out of place for where the main story takes you.

Lol I just mean that so far nobody in this universe has had any curves worth talking about, but okay I’ll take a look if something is hidden under the boring clothes.
In general though, the body sculpting tool everybody is created with here is badly designed. The face tool is okay but the body tool is just broken. Using the thinner body slider to tighten up the waist means getting a flat ass. It’s impossible to even create the trendy 10,000 squats per day gym body, you know with focus on building thighs hips and butt. So boring.

Do you also get more injuries when you’re over encumbered? I suspect it because I keep getting contusions falling 3 meters once I carry too much.
Maybe it’s a coincidence but it gives me Witcher 3 flashbacks.
Extremely dry and sexless (kissless!) “romance,” no attractive body types or attractive outfits (tarps only), almost all the leaders are women, etc. It’s a particular ideological viewpoint and isn’t conducive to an interesting universe.

Hmm, after being really pleased with the first few hours I’m kinda losing interest.
The story, characters, cities, and universe just aren’t grabbing me. It all feels disjointed and incohesive. The writing seems pretty bad, everything is so stilted and one dimensional.
The combat feels off. Not the smoothest and a bit clunky. I don’t really like any of the other systems so far.
I’ll continue playing and hope it improves. There’s good things here but it’s just …I dunno. I feel like I’m fighting the game most of the time just hoping things get interesting

So I've managed to put most of yesterday into the game and a few hours during the week. Probs about 8-10 hours
I will say its a good game, I would even rate it a great game if the PC performance wasn't so laughably terrible. It is very much skyrim in space and that isn't a negative at all considering almost everyone loved skyrim.
I do have criticisms and the narrative and rabid Fandom around the game (not as bad as totk, not yet at least) are actively trying to dismiss and attack dissenters though so I guess we'll see how it goes, remember this is my opinion, relax your tits.
The whole space part of this game is seriously disappointing, I don't feeling like I'm exploring space ever, if feels like I'm loadin "space battle" map.
I don't mind the loading between areas so I'm not saying the lack of seamless travel is an issue. I'm just finding space traversal entirely pointless outside of selling my junk to strangers. Everything is automated to a sad degree that even landing on a planet requires a menu. You can't just hold boost towards a planet then press "land". I honestly think the game would be better if you just removed spaceship flight altogether.
Just have a quick travel menu of planets and plop me down on the map and let me explore, that is where the real game takes place. All the space stuff is just getting in the way and dragging the experience down, which is a shame because I was hoping space would be my favorite part.

TOTK was judged based on what it did, not for what it didn't.
Everyone praises it for physics and mechanics. Hardly anyone talks about it using same map as BOTW or something like that.

Hey guys I just started this game, I got to New Atlantis and met with Constellation. I have a bug that has a tutorial message displayed on the upper section of the screen telling me to equip my Deep Miners Helmet, and it's not going away no matter what I do. Has anyone else experienced this bug?

i mean we literally have had threads saying it's ok that it's a bad PC port and threads saying that people will defend no matter what.
again it's not as bad as ToTK community, but it's just a game you need to tip toe around now, some people seem to have their livelihoods dependent on this game or something (other than the developers of course)

Yeah even in the night clubs people wear mostly the same clothes and everybody has boring standard bodytypes. There are so many possibilities in an IP like this so this is highly disappointing. Hopefully modders can do something here.

Taking this game super slow and it's made it one of the most rewarding experiences in gaming for me, truly wish so many others had the attention span/right mindset to see what makes a Bethesda game this special. (I know most in this OT do). I hope some of the targeted backlash isn't affecting the future of what the team has planned for this game, generally am hoping the morality is high for making DLC and ES6. That's all.

This really is the kind of game you have work to enjoy. If you concentrate on certain aspects of it, it's a great time - but you have to ignore a lot of it as well. Its size helps in this regard.
The banal, lukewarm, oh-so politically correct and puritanical bits of it are certainly one of the aspects I'm ignoring as hard as possible. Along with the awful approach to open world exploration.
I can't see me getting anywhere near 100%ing this, but there's enough to keep me going for maybe half that, all told.
