Want to see the Pro update.

We are now refuting a comparison paid by Nvidia (and using shield equip as reference in GoW) made to showcase native input latency on equal settings.. because of 120Hz monitors, claiming even same framerate would see a reducion in input lag?
Meaning the elementary notion that the same console versions with lower native input latency would benefit just the same by switching to 120Hz somehow escaped your thought process?
I actually had a little time and I did it myself. Fucking GAF..
Not even going to bother using notoriously instantaneous responsive games like Astro Bot or Spider-Man, but two third person games I already had installed that once released on PC sparked lots of complaints about their input latency:

I rigorously always and only use the same Calibrated mode I use for everything, BD, games, and compressed material. Never settled for Game modes and crap like that and never will.
Also not sure if DualSense being wireless made a difference, but don't give a literal shit either way.
I had no lag to brag about in this fightrodrigolfp
Bojji
Thebonehead O owandeseis
Mister Wolf
Gaiff
I can't believe you guys made me hold a phone between the legs like a whore to record my hands playing, only to completely disappear from the Thread..

I'll now spam these Gifs under every singlerodrigolfp 's mention of input lag, till the end of time.
Leaked that they were implementing PSSR
So I would expect a similar upgrade that TLOU2 received. Basically, quality mode with even better fidelity @ 60 fps.
Would be nice if they took advantage of the additional RT hardware but I am not expecting it.
I'd rather devs use Vulkan than rely on Microsoft and DirectX. The mod practically fixes the stutters but breaks DLSS and FSR.Devs are not going to stop using UE and they have no idea how to fix it.
you don't have quality mode in tlou2 in pro setting, it's performance mode (1440p) with added pssr. Same is true for ratchet for example.
Is this true? I thought it was Quality mode at 60 FPS? isn't that the pitch?
I find it funny how the only people getting upset about PS5 vs PC are the console fanboys who are losing the war.
Pro mode is a separate mode from Quality and Performance. The quality mode with VRR and unlocked frame rate was already running at very high frame rates between 45 to 60. The Pro will for sure bring this to 60.it's performance 1440p with added reconstruction in tlou2 (both modes were super similar outside of resolution anyway). in Ratchet you can even see performance mode by looking at crowd density in first level, it's greatly reduced in performance mode compared to quality (probably to reduce CPU load) and pro mode has P mode setting.
If you mean PS5 is "losing the war", I have questions.I find it funny how the only people getting upset about PS5 vs PC are the console fanboys who are losing the war.
Hilarious, console warriors jumping in to proclaim the victory of the PS5. Actually watching the video and you will see the PS5 stutters as well.
"I don't notice any stutter on PS5!" Yeah, well you won't see it on PC then either.

Yes you do have an effective quality mode, that's the point of PSSR even though the internal resolution is 1440p.
in last of us maybe but in Ratchet quality settings are from performance mode.

Tutorial on how to install it
Ok but the only difference there was crowd density. It was still rendering at a perceived quality of far higher than 1440p due to PSSR
i don't doubt image quality being better/on par/close to gfx modes, but between performance and quality modes there sometimes more differences than just resolution. like crowd in Ratchet (or number of starships in second level).
If the pro version is just a PSSR upscale at quality settings here, we are still getting a version that doesnt come close to PC with maxed out RT.
It should look great resolution and performance wise, but a lot of effects will be stripped back VS PC.
I was standing there for about 5 minutes on my PS5 version wondering why I couldn't see that insignificant bit of rubbish as clearly as I thought I should be! Thank goodness for digital foundry showing us these amazing videos to justify spending over $3000 aussie dollars to make sure the rubbish in Silent Hill 2 looks clearer than the PS5 version! And shadow reflections as well!
Yeah this seems logical. With the same resolution pro shouldn't achieve 60fps using quality settings. dripping res would allow them to do that. but that still leaves out hardware lumen, I think they will keep 30fps mode but with hardware lumen and upgrade 60fps mode with pssr and better lumen quality.

Yeah, I'd certainly love for the Pro to pull this off! The experience is very different when you get the full package and it just can't be overstated how good the maxed out PC release looks!

Because we can't see the clear rubbish on a RTX 2060, right, genius?I was standing there for about 5 minutes on my PS5 version wondering why I couldn't see that insignificant bit of rubbish as clearly as I thought I should be! Agreed. I seriously had to stop and take in the picture so many times. It's crazy how real-time visuals can look. If the Pro can come close, at 60 (I have doubts, but would love to be proven wrong), it would be quite a feat!Props to them for giving us the option to use Hardware Lumen. Hopefully Obsidian does the same with Avowed.

Be nice if they could, but I'm not sure that's possible. Not optimally anyway. So you would rather they keep the resolution in performance mode the same and instead use the power to toggle on Hardware Lumen?

Plus it's better with RT, and it can afford lowering some other settings and still improve visual image with PSSR (FSR is tough in this game).Well it is 45% stronger. That should be plenty of headroom to toggle on Hardware Lumen or at the very least max out Software Lumen.
Software Lumen will not produce that result though.Well it is 45% stronger. That should be plenty of headroom to toggle on Hardware Lumen or at the very least max out Software Lumen.

Just out of curiosity, you think the Pro can pull it off (hardware)?
AsI don't see why it couldn't with an extra 45%.
Asmckmas8808 said, hardware/30 in quality might be their best bet. At least then the hardware can finally produce a similar result to the PC's visuals.
As I noted, I'd be pleasantly surprised if they could do it at 60!
But in this case you aren't getting what you paid for.You get what you pay for. Some people are content to drive a Prius, while others would rather ride in a Porsche. Both will get you to the destination. One thing I will say is the people that try to downplay the "Porsche" come across reeking of sour grapes.
It's the later areas causing the most problems, according to the OT.I play the game with a 60fps cap with Control Panel Vsync and Gsync with ultra low latency enabled. Entering new area's are noticeable but otherwise it's quite smooth on a 4090. The woodside apartments lobby is not smooth but can't complain otherwise. It's installed on 990 pro Samsung SSD for what that's worth.
Interesting that most reviews if any at all mentions stuttering as an issue especially in the later of the game. Is it that much worst on pc compare to the ps5 at the later part? It's the later areas causing the most problems, according to the OT.
I have no idea as I'm not playing yet, just waiting to see how Pro version looks to decide if I wanna go for a 4090 for this game. Being a special one I want a flawless first experience.Interesting that most reviews if any at all mentions stuttering as an issue especially in the later of the game. The no-fog high contrast dark silhouettes against bright sky in reflections looks bizarre, more bizarre than the amount of surface water without any rain. The nighttime rain looks wrong (similar to RE4 prerelease) too with excessive droplet visibility outside of light sources.Yeah, I'd certainly love for the Pro to pull this off! It isn't that- if your life is so boring that ray tracing and clearer rubbish is what gets you excited and is worth you spending an extra 2 grand on a gaming unit, then good on you.Yeah this seems logical.
You can't see how good the raytracing looks on pc?
Who gives a fuck? I have been playing the game on a PS5 and not once have I looked at the rubbish on the side of the street and said to myself, if only i'd purchased this game on my beefy gaming PC so I could see exactly what the residents of Silent Hill are throwing out, then this amazing looking game will look AND play better on my beefy and far more expensive PC!Because we can't see the clear rubbish on a RTX 2060, right, genius?
Trust me- I am playing the PS5 version and it looks fine and plays very well. So long as it controls well I have no issues.I have no idea as I'm not playing yet, just waiting to see how Pro version looks to decide if I wanna go for a 4090 for this game. But heaven't read complaints from those playing on PS5.
