NeoGAF FEBRUARY 2011 Pick-Up Post! Show Us Your Goods! (Real pics or BAN!)!

Just got in a huge batch of NES games from Ebay and an almost new SNES. Rebuilding my collection after having to sell it off to pay for college:

First is the SNES package. The console is in brand new shape. The controllers look like they were never used.

Time to sort and clean all these Nintendo tapes!

The keepers, all of the rest will go back on eBay because they were doubles or in really rough shape:

I had opened this thread and the "Free to a Good Home" thread at the same time, and thought I was in the other one when I saw this post. My eyes went as wide as saucers.

Also: Call me stupid but... I see a Super Mario Bros. cart and a Duck Hunt cart. I thought they were combo carts, weren't they?

Both. Duck Hunt was actually released before SMB. It was packed in with the initial shipment of NESs.

Good job! Such a great game with a great soundtrack. Would have happily paid full XBLA price for it.
Totally fun! Beats some of the other full-priced shmups like Omega 5.

Still have 3-400 point left for XBLI channel (bought $10 worth of points) but don't know of anything else to buy. Looking for a good platformer. That Cthulhu game looks quite good.

This should not be a poster, it should be a carpet.

I thought it was a rug or something to start with, got all excited about how cool it was, had a little fantasy imagining it in my living room.

Was a nice time.

My God, that thing is perfect. Mine was almost totally yellow like 14 years ago.

New Super Mario Bros Wii (loving it so far!) and Bomberman DS.
I got Mario & Luigi Bowser's Inside Story off eBay but unfortunately it turned out to be a bootleg :(

The instruction booklet was pretty funny in a bad way though :)

yep, the instruction booklet contains the whole text of that gamespot preview, and nothing else except some artwork and screenshots.
The eBay listing only had a stock photo, so I only noticed the euro box with american rating when I received it. The game itself gave an error on startup and got stuck in the card slot. I had to use some force to pull it out.

Went retro bargain hunting in GAME and managed to find these two for £2.99 each which I thought was pretty good. As luck would have it, I went in with the sole aim of finding X-2, something I would have said I had less than a 1% chance of doing, and grabbed it as soon as I spotted it! Looking forward to Forbidden Siren too.

Some new Nikes. It's been about a year since my last pair! :O

Also, not pictured, is a Royal Mail "We tried to deliver but you were out" leaflet which should be The Last Story and some more goodies :)

I don't usually buy anime...so I don't know why I spent $400 on a blu-ray set. However, HERE IT IS!

I'd say, if you a KnK fanboy and have the funds then it's probably worth the money! Also the blue and orange case has this velvet-like material.

So cool, Suko. By the way, what kind of TV is that?

Thanks. The TV is a Toshiba 32" 1080p, model 32RV525RZ. I got it over a year ago when it was on sale for about $308 shipped, thanks to crazy bing cashback. You know, that means I spent more money on the anime than the TV...

Pretty good deal. I got my 23" 1080p monitor for $260. How's the picture on the Toshiba?

holy cow at that Zelda poster. Good stuff!

Yes, they're mighty impressive. I love them and am glad I have them in my collection. :D

It's actually not one poster though. They are two separate prints.

What's that yellow bar on the Final Fantasy games?

PSP Favorites stickers. They come off if you really cared (which I dont). They are on the outside of the sealed game, not on the case itself.

Hope the new controller is as good as I've been hearing. Wanted to get it anyway for the new pad for MvC3 next week anyway. And I'm interested in TDU2. Didn't get to play the first, but I heard good things about it and the sequel was only $50.

PQ is good for a HDTV of this price range. It also has less input lag than my Olevia. Though, I still use my Asus monitor for stuff like fighting games. I still play CvS2 and Melty Blood on the Toshiba, and the input lag isn't very obvious like the Phillips HDTV in the living room.

Bought it too, hope it gets here soon

Can I just say how disappointed and ripped off I feel by this set? Well, they released one of the movies in this set a few months back on its own which I picked up. A little bit later they announce a set with it included. Regardless of that, there are some huge inconsistencies between the movies and I've only watched the first two so far but the VAs don't match the ones from the Dragon Ball sets that released last year, which wouldn't be an issue if they were better but they're worse. The framerate for movie two looks like it was cut in half for some reason as well. I want my money back Funimation.
