Been a pretty crazy past week or so, thanks to some awesome friends and family. Lots of birthday loot, and a little something for myself.


Group of friends got me the below (bean bag too). I've already blasted through the story mode for MKX, and watched Enough Said. Both were really good. Currently about 12 hours into Dying light, and it's fucking awesome =D

My mum got me the below. having a surprising amount of luck playing halo online, and also I'm blasting through the Halo 3 campaign, before probably going to go through all four campaigns in order. Looking forward to watching Lego again too.

Friend chucked me some money and said to get myself something fun, so I got the below. the steam card is totally being used for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.

Lastly for the birthday loot, a nice customized T-shirt from a friend =D

Oh, and something I got myself. Dying light may or may not have inspired me to grab this.

It's the Asian LE. Nice!

I got the Japanese LE (for real cheap), and the Asian regular edition. So I sort of cheated to get almost the same package. ;-)

Thanks! Overall it was super simple to swap the metal covers. I initially considered getting some blank cds printed and burning the digital soundtrack to them, but the Japanese OST costs about the same and comes with a nice booklet. Saved myself the trouble

Sorry to bug but the snake whiskey/vine, have you ever tried importing it? Bringing it yourself that is. I have always lost them in the toll :/ Sometimes I get it, but never the ones with snakes -.-

So with Habu-sake, it's against TSA/immigration policy to import "livestock" be it living or dead. With that, because of the agency I work for and this particular trip I was able to import it with the snake if I desired.

I chose not to because I busted my 2L limit bringing back the yamazaki and hibiki cherry caste whiskey.

The habu-sake is novelty - I did a shot, made my face tingle (kind of like a niacin flush taking a 5 hour energy shot) and didn't really add to my buzz.

I pickled my liver enough during this last trip.

Nice find on the Japanese LE, the contents seem to be exactly same as Asian LE. I think the LE's for this game are pretty rare now so I'm very happy I managed to still get one.

I picked up The Tale of The Princess Kaguya on a whim last night. I went in for a new keyboard and came out with this. I'm not a big Studio Ghibli fan but I've been interested in watching this after seeing screenshots online. I saw half of it last night and wow. It's honestly one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. It's like one giant watercolor painting.

Nice collection, the Vita is a great console to collect for. I have 124 at home right now but there are two games in the US waiting for me when I go there in July to bring them home to Brazil and then I will buy a few of the ones that I'm missing.

I picked up a few more things this past week or so, but I'm pretty sure this'll be all for me this month.

I had this on order since it got announced and it finally came in! I had been vascillating on whether or not I should get a Japanese Wii U, but this Xenoblade bundle pushed me over the edge. The artbook that came with it is great and I love the giant print of the box art on the bundle box, but I do wish more LE Wii U's actually had some sort of design on the console or gamepad. Didn't the Wind Waker HD bundle have that?

Also in the latest Japanese import were my wave 4 amiibos. I'm very glad it was still relatively easy to find these on import when I ordered them, things are really bad now and I'm still worrying about securing a Greninja or Jigglypuff. This rounds out the Fire Emblem crew though, and that's the series of characters I was most worried about. I do love their implementation in Codename STEAM, might be the best amiibo usage to date.

Stepping outside the gaming box, here's some music pick-ups from the best concert I have been to this year. If you have any interest in Japanese Psychedelic Rock then I highly recommend you check out Acid Mothers Temple. Man, that was a once in a lifetime experience, their show. Then the opener Gorilla Toss (the Vinyl there) and ST 37 were equally amazing despite being completely different musically.

They're mostly takara except for the fans toys dinos. Megatron is by x-transbots. Fans toys are on another level compared to other 3rd party. Really happy to finally get a good megatron. I'll try to post a better pic of him when I get my faction symbol in this week or next
